Wilder, Ruiz Set for WBC Final Eliminator Bout

Two Former Champions Clash in Title Contender Decider

Deontay Wilder and Andy Ruiz to Face Off in Thrilling Match-Up

In a highly anticipated announcement, the World Boxing Council (WBC) has officially ordered a WBC final eliminator bout between former heavyweight champions Deontay Wilder and Andy Ruiz Jr. The bout, which holds significant implications for both fighters, is expected to take place in the coming months.

Wilder, known for his devastating punching power and "Bronze Bomber" moniker, held the WBC heavyweight championship for five years before losing it to Tyson Fury in 2020. Ruiz, the former unified heavyweight champion, famously defeated Anthony Joshua in 2019 to claim the titles, only to lose them back to Joshua in a rematch six months later.

The winner of the Wilder-Ruiz bout will become the mandatory challenger for the WBC heavyweight title, currently held by Tyson Fury. The date and venue for the fight have yet to be determined, but it is sure to be an explosive encounter between two of the sport's most dangerous heavyweights.
