Pakistan's Consumer Price Index (CPI) saw a modest increase from May to June, rising to 25,594 points from 25,478. However, the overall inflation rate showed a decline, falling from 33% in May to an estimated 31% in June, marking the lowest rate since January.
Core Inflation Slows to 21-Month Low
The annual rate of core inflation, which excludes volatile food and energy prices, has decreased to 3.4%, the lowest since April 2021. This reduction is largely attributed to a smaller increase in housing costs.
